For visitors from the European Union / EEA and Switzerland the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies because we offer our services there. Wherever this policy refers to articles, they refer to the GDPR.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on a server operated for us by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data centre in Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically stores the following data in log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• requested page or file, HTTP status code and transferred data volume
• referrer URL (the page you came from), browser and operating system (user agent)

We use this data to deliver the website reliably, to detect and defend against attacks and misuse (e.g. rate limiting of excessive requests) and to fix errors. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are automatically deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a specific incident requires longer storage. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner (Art. 28 GDPR).

3. Quote request form

If you send us a quote request via the form on this website, we process the data you enter: company, industry, description of the process, current effort, budget range, tools in use, timeline, your name, email address and — optionally — your phone number.

We use this data exclusively to prepare and send you the requested quote, to contact you about it and to prepare a possible engagement. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request). Fields marked as required are needed to answer your inquiry; all other fields are voluntary.

The form is transmitted encrypted (TLS) to our server, which forwards it as an email to our mailbox info@qunoma.com. The mailbox is provided by ALL-INKL.COM (see section 5). Your data is stored in our email system and, if an engagement follows, in our project documents. To protect the form against automated misuse we use a hidden honeypot field and temporary rate limiting; for this purpose the IP address of a request is held in the server’s working memory for a few minutes and is not stored permanently.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your message) to handle your request. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

5. Domain, DNS and email provider

Our domain qunoma.com, the DNS name servers and our email mailboxes are operated by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Owner: René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. ALL-INKL.COM therefore processes the content and metadata of emails sent to and from us — including quote requests submitted via the form — exclusively in data centres in Germany; as sub-processor it uses its affiliated company Neue Medien Münnich GmbH, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany (data-centre operation and customer support). Legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable communication and email infrastructure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and, for quote requests, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with ALL-INKL.COM (Art. 28 GDPR).

6. Cookies, local storage and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, social-media plugins, embedded videos, maps or content from external content delivery networks. Web fonts are delivered from our own server, so no font provider receives your data.

The only thing stored in your browser is your language choice (English/German) in the browser’s local storage under the key "qunoma-lang" when you use the language switch. This entry contains no personal data, is not transmitted to us and is strictly necessary to provide the language you selected (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.

7. Encryption

All pages of this website and the form transmission are delivered exclusively via HTTPS (TLS). Certificates are issued by Let’s Encrypt. Unencrypted requests are redirected to the encrypted version.

8. Recipients and transfers to third countries

Within Qunoma LLC only the people who prepare your quote and manage the engagement have access to your data. Processors acting on our behalf are Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting, Germany) and ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich (domain, DNS, email, Germany). We do not pass your data on to other third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.

Qunoma LLC is based in the United States. Your data is stored on servers in Germany, but it is accessed and processed by us from the USA in order to prepare and send you the quote you requested. This transfer is necessary for pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR). Please note that the level of data protection in the USA may differ from that in the EU; in particular, US authorities may have access to data under US law. If you do not wish this, please do not use the form and contact us in another way of your choosing.

9. Storage period

We store quote requests and related correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any resulting engagement. If no engagement follows, we delete the data at the latest 12 months after our last contact, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage. Server log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest (see section 2).

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

• access to the data we store about you (Art. 15),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
• erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
• data portability (Art. 20),
• objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21) — in particular you may object at any time to processing that is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation,
• withdrawal of consent with effect for the future, where processing is based on consent (Art. 7 (3)),
• lodging a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the authority of your place of residence or workplace (Art. 77).

To exercise your rights, simply email us at info@qunoma.com. We answer requests without undue delay, at the latest within one month.

11. Data security

We protect our systems with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including transport encryption, a firewall, access restricted to authorised persons, automatic security updates and rate limiting against automated abuse. Nevertheless, data transmission over the internet can never be completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We adapt this privacy policy when the website, our services or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available at qunoma.com/legal/.
